An amphibious tracked lightly armoured vehicle, developed in the 1960s whose production began around 1970 in the Charkovsk Tractor Factory. The crew consists of 2 members + 11-member landing crew. The vehicle is fully amphibious and thanks to its excellent construction it was produced in many versions and was used for many purposes, e.g. for infantry transport, material transport, communication purposes and last but not least for towing artillery equipment, which was the original purpose it had been designed for. The excellent construction is proven by more than 100 different versions and the production volume, which reached 20,000 vehicles.
